I know it has been a little quiet on the blog lately, but I have a totally good reason (well, actually two) for it. First of all, our downstairs bathroom reno has been dragging for weeks now. It has been a rather painful project let me tell you. I’m happy to report though that we finally finished yesterday which is such a relief. I also holidayed in Greece with the family last month and although my plan was to unplug and relax, I ended up taking loads of photos of the pretty interiors in the hotel we were staying in.
We stayed on the beautiful island of Corfu in the brand new Ikos Dassia resort. The resort had only been open for 3 weeks but luckily everything was running pretty smoothly when we got there. The resort is absolutely stunning and there is literally interior inspiration everywhere. The resort consists of two separate buildings and we stayed at the Sky building. After reading some Trip Advisor reviews, I asked if we could be allocated to the Sky building and I’m so happy the management obliged. The views overlooking Albania were absolutely breathtaking from our sea view room. The grounds were beautiful too and it was a massive bonus that the hotel was by the beach.
Ok, let’s talk about the interiors since it is the reason why I started writing this blog post in the first place. I’m not going to lie, the pretty interiors certainly influenced my decision when I was booking the hotel. Although, of course the gorgeous location was a massive selling point too! I absolutely adore the coastal vibe that is predominant throughout the hotel. They had put so much effort into little details it was unbelievable. There were lanterns, pouffes, beautiful vases and stunning rattan furniture dotted around the hotel. It literally felt like a second home thanks to all the beautiful accessories. I guess that’s what they were going for since Ikos means ‘home’ in Greek after all!
Although they had opted for neutral walls and furniture, splashes of colour in cushions and art work added some interest to the decor. I mean, how amazing is this piece of art at the end of the lounge?
It’s pretty easy to see why coastal inspired interiors have become so popular recently, am I right? Coastal bohemian interiors are also more popular than ever this year and I personally love to combine the look with some minimalist Scandi accessories.

PS. If anyone has any questions about this hotel or our stay, I’m happy to answer them. I would say that this resort is ideal for families, but they also have an adults only pool and bar if you fancy some much needed me-time. If you have any questions, just shoot me an email or leave a comment below. Oh, and if you do decide to go to Corfu, make sure to visit the restaurant Pomo d’Oro in Corfu Old Town. It’s such a hidden gem!
