I’VE BEEN SHORTLISTED FOR AN AMARA INTERIOR BLOG AWARD!

I have exciting news! Few months ago I was nominated for an Amara Interior Blog Award (the biggest celebration of interior blogs) in the ‘Best Use of Photography’ category. I’ve been nominated loads of times, but I have never quite made the shortlist before. Until now! It feels a little surreal to say this, but I’ve made the #IBA20 shortlist! I can’t tell you how amazing it feels after all these years trying to get shortlisted. I almost gave up (glad I didn’t though). This has totally made my year but I’m obviously up against 4 very talented bloggers/photographers in my category. I love photography and it has always been a huge part of my blog. It’s not just a hobby for me. It’s also an obsession (just ask my husband).

Here’s the shortlist criteria according to Amara:

Imagery can make or break a blog and this award is for the blog that goes further than the rest to exhibit the most outstanding original photography throughout the site. A talented photographer, the blogger’s imagery will be an inspiration to readers for both their interiors and their own photography projects.

  • The majority of imagery on the blog must be the blogger’s own
  • The imagery should have a consistent and recognisable style throughout the blog

Exciting, right? Unfortunately due to the current pandemic, the event won’t be hosted at a fancy London hotel this year. It’s going to be a virtual ceremony in stead, but luckily you can all watch it live on Amara.Com. I will be getting dressed up regardless, serving bubbly and canapé in the comfort of our own home (with no more than 6 people of course).

Don’t forget to watch Amara’s first virtual awards ceremony 6.30pm (BST) on Thursday 15th of October!

See you there x
