It might be September but the weather forecast tells me that we are heading towards an Indian summer here in the UK. Autumn is so far looking warm and sunny, meaning that those blissful summer evenings outdoors don’t have to be over (just yet). Whether you’re planning a garden party or a picnic outside, Bobby’s Gin has come up with the most convenient and delicious gin drinks (you wish you’d have found ages ago).
I first discovered the Dutch gin maker two years ago when I had a chance to work with them on Christmas cocktails. Since then Bobby’s gin has become one of my party favourites thanks to its exotic spices combined with herbs. I’ve had lots of compliments from family and friends too, which is why it has become a staple when we’re entertaining.
I was really excited to try out their new ready-to-drink range. It seems like the perfect option when you don’t want the hassle of making cocktails, or just want to have an easy/quick drink in the garden or impress your guests! The stylish packaging looks so chic you may prefer not to pour it into a glass, but if I’m home I like to use my favourite champagne coupes or martini glasses. I got to test both Bobby’s gin and pink lemonade and Bobby’s Gin & Tonic and I really enjoyed both (although I have a favourite!).

It’s no surprise I can’t resist a pink drink! But I am a tough one to please when it comes to pre-made drinks. I’ve always preferred a fresh cocktail instead of a ready-made one. I was a little skeptical but Bobby’s gin and pink lemonade has totally won me over. It’s slightly sweet but you can still taste the gin. It’s also a bit bubbly which I love. This is my favourite out of the two purely because it makes you feel like you’re having a proper cocktail. I can easily see this one becoming a firm summer favourite of mine, although you can enjoy it all year round.

If you fancy a traditional gin & tonic, Bobby’s gin & tonic (in the black can) is the perfect drink for you. It’s also ideal if you’re not a fan of sweet drinks. But it does taste like a regular G&T, without the hassle of having to buy tonic of course! The gin is infused with spices and botanicals mixed with classic, all-natural tonic water. A definite crowd pleaser if you ask me.
