LONDON DESIGN WEEK 2025 – SPRING INSPIRED INTERIORS

March is the ideal time to start decorating your home for spring. With that in mind, I attended London Design Week 2025 last week at the Design Centre at Chelsea Harbour for some spring inspiration. The prestigious five-day event features the best and the brightest of world-class design talent, as well as over 130 showrooms and over 30 house guests showcasing design trends and classics.

Here are some of my favourite designs and brands from the event.

MATILDA GOAD

Matilda Goad’s unique range of homewares caught my attention as soon as I walked in. I particularly loved her lighting range, which is full of vintage-inspired pieces made from natural materials. The sustainably sourced cork lamp base with scalloped lampshade is a thing of beauty and will add texture to any room. Not only do I love the look, but cork is also naturally hypoallergenic, making it perfect for allergy sufferers like me.

SKETCHTWENTY3 WALLPAPER

Now, you probably know how much I love a feature wall and I could easily see myself using one of SketchTwenty3’s wallpapers in my home. There is something for everyone, from woodland landscapes to luxurious architecturally inspired geometrics. The company offers high-end wallpapers for those looking for luxurious and contemporary wallpapers and wall coverings for public, residential and hospitality applications. They often exhibit at trade events such as Decorex, so remember to check them out next time you’re in town.

MARTIN HUXFORD

The sculptural lighting trend is set to be huge in 2025. There is something special about the organic and nature-inspired shapes that never cease to fascinate us. Martin Huxford was a brand-new name for me but the British designer’s modernist style was a breath of fresh air. It was lovely to chat with Martin, who actually started his journey from his father’s metal workshop and moved on to the clean beauty of abstract modernist design. His unique sculptural decorative lighting and accessories are the perfect example of high-end luxury and craftsmanship. His clients are all from all over the world, from high-end hotels to Italian villas.

BIRDIE FORTESQUE

Well, this is starting to look very spring-like! Norfolk-based luxury homeware designer Birdie Fortesque’s collection is both bold and eclectic. And very on-trend. It’s the perfect example of ‘more is more’. Inspired by her travels, her timeless interiors are rich in heritage and quality, designed to be passed down from generation to generation. An ode to slow living, we love this concept of relaxed luxury that seems to be growing in popularity at the moment.

BERTIOLI BY THYME

Bertioli, by Thyme & Bertioli, homewares inspire you to create nature-themed rooms in your home. Their leafy upholstery fabrics and wallpapers create a sophisticated and soothing interior scheme, perfect for springtime. And their candles smell pretty amazing, too, I must say.

HOLMES BESPOKE

Holmes Bespoke rugs will add texture and depth to any room. With so many stunning colours and patterns to choose from, it was hard to pick a favourite. Unsurprisingly, I loved all the browns and taupes and would probably go for the geometric patterns if I had to choose my absolute favourite. To be honest, I think they will all remain timeless classics. The rug makers offer only the finest natural fibres for projects and the knowledge and expertise of their skilled artisans, whose centuries-old techniques ensure that each design is completely unique and handcrafted to last a lifetime. They believe that longevity is ultimately linked to quality and that a quality product should be made by craftsmen using local, natural and sustainable materials. And we couldn’t agree more!

This was just a snapshot of all the beautiful things I saw at the event. Keep an eye on my socials for more spring trend updates!
