This year certainly flew by. While it was a year of smaller home projects, it was no less rewarding — sometimes it’s the little changes that make the biggest impact. I had hoped to get started on our bedroom renovation, but at least the plans are now firmly in place, and I’m excited to bring them to life in the year ahead.
I’ve also had the pleasure of collaborating with some wonderful brands, both big and small, and I hope the content I’ve shared has been both useful and inspiring. Beyond the projects and partnerships, it’s the creativity, conversations, and community that have truly made this year special. Thank you for reading, following along, and sharing in this journey — your support and engagement mean so much. I can’t wait to share what’s next, from new interiors to travel inspiration and DIY tips that I’ve been looking forward to revealing.
Now let’s take a look at some of my highlights from this year…
Colourful Kid’s Bedroom Makeover

Kid’s Room With Colourful Floral Wall Mural from Mural Wonder
This room makeover was a major highlight. My daughter wanted her new bedroom to be colourful and fun, and I think we achieved exactly that. I absolutely love wall murals — they instantly add a bit of oomph to any space. Paired with the colourful furniture and contemporary feel of the room, this has truly become the sanctuary my daughter wanted.

Custom built-in wardrobe with integrated handles
And of course, the new built-in wardrobe from Beckenham Interiors made a huge difference. Fully customised and kept clean and sleek, it’s the perfect built-in solution for small rooms.
My Interview with Get Blogged

I recently had a quick chat with Get Blogged about my blogging journey, what makes collaborations truly authentic, and the future of blogging. I love how interviews offer a glimpse into the real person behind the words — they’re such a great way to share insights, knowledge, and tips with others in the industry. Laundry Room Mini-Makeover

Laundry Room Mini-Makeover
Our laundry room revamp was long overdue, but definitely worth the wait. We completed this makeover on a budget, investing in custom units and even adding a cool slatted wood wall to hang bits and pieces. Small spaces have to work extra hard, and this room is the perfect example of how thoughtful design can make all the difference.

Hotel Reviews

Clarion Airport Hotel in Helsinki
2025 included lots of travel, from Sardinia to the beautiful Champagne region, with plenty of chic hotels along the way — all of which I shared here, of course. My personal highlights were our villa in Italy, discovering the chicest airport hotel, and, naturally, visiting the iconic Ballyfin. I love drawing interior inspiration from hotels because their design is often timeless and multifunctional. More and more hotels are also creating spaces that truly feel like a home away from home, which I absolutely love.
Design Events

Sian Zeng’s bamboo wall mural launch party
Decorex, Surface Design Show, and the launch of the wonderful Sian Zeng’s Bamboo wall mural were definite highlights — especially as I’m planning to use it in our master bedroom. Being able to experience these events in person is always inspiring, as they offer a first look at emerging trends, innovative materials, and beautifully crafted designs.
I’m hoping to attend more international trade shows next year, as it’s incredibly refreshing to be exposed to different styles, perspectives, and cultures. These experiences not only spark creativity but also help shape my approach to interiors, allowing me to bring fresh ideas and thoughtful design back into my own projects and content.
Trends

Michael Aram Floral Candle Holder
I love sharing some of my favourite design trends here, especially those with real longevity. From linen lighting to floral design pieces, I felt very inspired this year. While I try not to follow trends too closely, they inevitably influence me — whether I like it or not.
There are also a few new favourites currently transitioning from fashion into furnishings, and I love how there’s always a natural crossover between the two. I’ll keep you posted on the ones I think are truly worth watching. In the meantime, check out the Pinterest trend forecast here.
Small Business Collabs

Fjord and Fuji Homeware and Decor

Poppy Furniture — Modern Furniture Rental For Flexible Living
I love supporting and discovering new brands in the interiors sphere. New small business partnerships this year included Fjord & Fuji and Poppy Furniture. I was also excited to share Briiv’s new fragrance collection on the blog — a brand I’ve been working with for several years now. It’s proof that long-term partnerships are the most rewarding, allowing collaborations and content to evolve naturally over time.
Plans for 2026
You’ve guessed it — our bedroom makeover will be the main focus next year. I’ve got the plans mapped out, although they may still need a little fine-tuning. The most important decisions are locked in, with the wallpaper and flooring now chosen. There’s plenty of prep to do first, but I’m hoping to get started in January. And, I can’t wait to share the end result with you — this just might be our most exciting room makeover to date!
Looking ahead to next year, I’m excited to keep focusing on thoughtful design, great collaborations, and spaces that really grow with us. Thanks so much for reading and following along — your support honestly means so much. I can’t wait to share what’s coming next!
