The heading says it all really – I love Scandi minimalism with an eclectic twist. My home style is ever-evolving but the Scandinavian backbone has remained the same. Clean lines, lots of texture and cosy luxe vibes. I’ve recently picked up a few new pieces from my travels and my favourite homewares stores, which I thought I’d share with you. As always, I’m very particular about adding new homewares to our collection. Everything I buy needs to be timeless, functional and versatile. Currently, I’m drawn to silver/chrome over gold, pops of colour and lots of unusual shapes and textures. I mean, there is nothing quite like having an unusual decorative piece as a talking point, is there?
PORTABLE LAMP

I’ve been searching for the perfect portable lamp for those warm summer evenings. Luckily, I found the right lamp at a new homewares store, Fjord and Fuji. I love a mushroom-shaped lamp and this stainless steel table lamp couldn’t be more perfect for our garden. At 20 cm, it is the ideal height and it even has a clever touch-sensitive control with three brightness settings.

It comes with a USB charging cable and the battery life is pretty good. I love the minimalist design, but the trouble is that it’s too pretty to be just an outdoor lamp. For now, it’s being rotated between our hallway and the garden dining table. It’s a real summer garden must-have and you can now get 10% off with code PIA10.
CHAMPAGNE CAP HOLDER/PRESENTATION CASE

I love collecting things, especially those that remind me of places or special events. We love a nice bottle of bubbly in this house, so it would have been rude not to buy this champagne cap collector when we were in France last month. Maybe it was the stylish case that sold it to me, but it’s a really cool way to store and display champagne bottle caps and remember the good times. One day, I’m going to frame the holders and display them on a wall, probably in the kitchen.

CHAMPAGNE ART

Another souvenir from Épernay was a print of our favourite champagne house, De Venoge. These vintage-style prints can be found on Avenue de Champagne — almost every champagne house has its own. It was the vibrant colours that drew me to this print, not to mention the fact that it was one of the nicest champagnes we had there. Parfait, non?
TEXTURED DINNER CANDLES

Since it’s summer, I thought I’d go for colourful dinner candles. I love these pastel candles with a grooved surface. I also quite like the mismatched look I’ve got going on here. It makes the whole setup less predictable.
MINIMALIST CHROME TRAY
There’s something timeless about a well-designed decorative tray and this sophisticated chrome tray from Fjord & Fuji is no exception. Its fluid organic shape gives it sculptural elegance that oozes quiet luxury. It’s ideal for displaying jewellery or can be used as a statement piece on its own. Pieces like this embody the calm, soft aesthetic that defines Scandinavian design at its best.
To celebrate the launch of the brand new online design store, Fjord & Fuji, you can now get 10% off all homewares and furniture with code PIA10. Shipping for international orders over £150 is free and (in most cases) customs are covered.

Love how you’ve blended clean, minimal lines with those unexpected eclectic touches each piece feels intentional yet full of character. It’s a beautiful example of how minimalism doesn’t have to be cold or boring!

Thank you. I agree with your comment about minimalism not having to be boring. It’s all about finding the right balance!
